Relic of John Paul II
On Thursday, October 26th, a relic of St. John Paul II will be in Seelos Chapel from 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Those who wish to venerate or visit the relic, or learn more about Pope John Paul II, are welcome to any of the following events:
Mass: 12:20 p.m.
Public Veneration Begins: 1 p.m.
Short Talk on John Paul II: “Karol Wojtyla: Art as Resistance” (Assembly Steps): 2:20 p.m. (Talk will be given by Monsignor Swetland and Lindsey Weishar and focus on how as a young man, Karol Wojtyla (later JPII) participated in underground theater activities, which were banned by the Nazi and then Communist regimes in Poland. This talk will provide a connection to our Common Read.
Divine Mercy Chaplet: 3 p.m.
